Preview/Proofing

When you edit an image, you often want to see what the final product will look like. Proofing is the ability to show your images side-by-side with their final state.

You can apply an image retouching mask for all or some of your edits or an image healing overlay.

If you have a new Photoshop CC 2020 version, you can enable the Preview & Proofing feature in the File menu.

To use the preview function in Photoshop CC you need an updated version of the Preset Camera Downloader extension.

If you already have an earlier version of Photoshop, you will be able to find the Preview & Proofing layer in the Layers menu. The layer has a name of “Preview & Proofing.”

To apply a new layer, follow these steps:

1. Select the layer you want to edit.

2. Open the Layers menu and click Edit > Preferences > Preview & Proofing.

3. If you want to use a new layer for all edits, open the Layer menu and then click New Layer.

4. For the rest of this tutorial, select the Current Document option.

5. Click OK.

6. Click OK in the preview preview.

To apply a new layer for all edits, select the Current document option and click New Layer.

7. Repeat steps 6 to 8 to apply a new layer for each edit.

You can also use the Rewind layer option to start over with a blank new layer.

Blur

Blur is the most basic and commonly used tool in Photoshop. Blurring is also commonly referred to as softening or “blurring”. Blurring softens the edges of an image to soften an image’s details. You can also use varying degrees of blur to either soften, sharpen or harden an image. Blur also allows you to focus the viewer’s attention where you want.
You can blur an image using the Select > Blur command. You can blur an image by pressing the Shift key and then repeatedly pressing the Alt key on your keyboard. The Blur tool is located at the bottom right of the Layers palette.

Burn

Burn is a type of correction that smoothes the colors in the image or layers in the image. A burn is typically achieved with the layer Effects pull-down menu. You can do a gradual or a spot burn.

Clone Stamp

The Clone Stamp tool can be used to copy an image. It is a tool to repair images or remove unwanted parts of an image. You can copy the pixel color from a part of the image to any other part of the image.

Color Balance

Color Balance is a tool that lets you adjust the hue, lightness, or saturation of the colors in the image. It comes in various modes. You can access the Color Balance tool by first pressing on the image (or layers) that you want to fix, then going to the Layers palette and clicking the topmost icon at the top left of the palette.

Combine Images

Combine Images allows you to create a new image from combining parts of multiple images. You can combine images together by first opening an image, then the layer window. Locate the Layers palette and click the Combine Images icon.

Compound Path

Compound Path is a type of selection that allows you to select multiple paths and combine them as a single shape. By clicking on the layer(s) you want to shape, holding the Ctrl key and clicking outside the shape, you will select all the selected pixels. Then you can move the shape with the sliders in the control panel, change the path’s borders, and create new paths from the original. You can use the Pen tool to create the path.

Convert to Grayscale

Why have we allowed a culture where adults not only abuse children, but who want the young to be brainwashed into believing that the child’s bodily fluids represent their own individual body fluids? I don’t know about you, but to me these two things sound like the same thing.

So, what can we do?

First, education. At the University of Texas, where my BA is in counseling, for example, teaching classes on the subject of child abuse is mandatory. Children who have been abused are often withdrawn, angry, and have difficulty bonding. Which makes it very difficult to detect the abuser.

Second, the child welfare system. There are many professionals who deal with abuse and neglect of children, as well as children in foster care. In my area, we have the Children’s Protective Services. It is under the jurisdiction of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. If you are being or have been a victim of abuse, the Protective Services will work to protect you and will take you back into your home. There are also programs designed to help mothers being abused. Check with your local county for available services in your area.

The mom in the video does not belong in jail for two reasons. First, the kid was injured when it was over. She had no way of knowing what would happen after she slapped him. Second, the video is simply not complete. It doesn’t show the end. It probably ends with her surrendering.
