There are many different uses for Photoshop. In the graphics industry it is used for designing logos, flyers, ads, and any other graphics for print or display. In the photography industry it is used for the same purposes as the graphic industry, but is often used for adjusting images for print and image enhancement.

Photoshop also has a separate video editing tool used for creating video slideshows and other video effects.

Versions

The first version of Photoshop was released as Photoshop 1.0 in March of 1990.

Photoshop 2.0 was released in March of 1991.

The third version of Photoshop was released in March of 1992. This version was for Macintosh and included a Macintosh version of Photoshop 1.0 for beginners. Photoshop 2.0 for Macintosh allowed artists to create, edit, print, and send graphics, photographs, and web pages to one of several output devices or a server. Photoshop 2.0 for Macintosh also introduced the Layers dialog box, a history palette and the ability to resize files (moving and cropping).

Photoshop 3.0, also for Macintosh, was released in April of 1993. This version included Layer Styles, the ability to print to the printer directly from Photoshop, and more powerful image correction and layout. Photoshop 3.0’s powerful blend modes for the main workspace were a big step forward for the program and were introduced in this version.

The fourth version of Photoshop was released in March of 1994. It featured a new program known as Photoshop 1.0 for Windows, which was a complete rewrite of the original Macintosh version. It included many tools not present in the Macintosh version. Photoshop 4.0 for Macintosh was released at the same time. This version introduced the Pathfinder dialog box and the Quick Selection feature.

Photoshop 4.0 for Windows was released in March of 1995. The most notable changes were the new Quick Selection tool, an alternative print dialog box, and the introduction of the Adobe Burn tool.

Photoshop 5.0 was released in February of 1996. This version introduced the Photoshop Workflow tool, which was essentially a workflow management system, as well as the Adobe Burn tool. The Photoshop 5.0 Workflow Tool supported Photoshop 5.0 and Photoshop CS, but it was incompatible with previous versions of Photoshop.

Photoshop 5.0 for Macintosh included its own workflow management system.

This article will teach you how to use Photoshop Elements to create new images and edit existing images.

You will learn how to use the tools that are specifically made for editing images like the Pen tool, painting tools and tools for removing unwanted objects from images.

You can then easily crop and resize images, make color adjustments, apply special effects like filters and effects, generate some cool text effects, and even convert an image to black and white or a monochrome image.

Step 1: File Menu

You will see a File menu at the top of Photoshop Elements’ window. Click on it to open the file menu where you can find most of the tools that you use when editing images.

Step 2: Edit Menu

When you click on the Edit menu, you will find the menu with the tools for removing unwanted objects from your image.

Step 3: Tools Menu

Click on the Tools Menu button and you will see the menu with most of the tools that you use when editing images.

Step 4: Select Menu

Click on the Select menu and you will see the menu with the tools for selecting and copying parts of your image.

Step 5: View Menu

When you click on the View menu, you will find the menu with all of the options for changing your image’s viewing size, format and color space.

Step 6: Window Menu

When you click on the Window menu, you will find the menu with all of the options for changing your workspace. You can use this menu to change the size of your screen, how your image is displayed (grid, canvas, lists, columns or a full-screen view), and how your image fits in the full-screen screen.

Step 7: Help Menu

Click on the Help menu and you will find a lot of useful information about Photoshop Elements. If you want to know more about a specific tool, then just click on the button to access the help file for that tool.

Click on the Exit menu and you will see the menu with all the tool for closing Photoshop

You can also use the Clone Stamp to remove unwanted areas of an image.
Erasers are also a common use for Photoshop brushes. They can be used for removing entire areas or individual pixels from an image.
The Eraser tool is extremely important for correcting and perfecting images.
Resize tools allow you to change the overall size of an image, as well as its proportions. This is useful for fitting images to specific sizes.
Once you have resized an image, you can use the Crop tool to remove parts of the image.
The Crop tool can be used to remove an object or area from an image. It is a useful tool for cropping images for web design, print, or other purposes.

Using Photoshop Brushes

To change the size or proportion of an image, you may use the Resize tool.
To get the best results from the Crop tool, ensure that you use the Brush Tool (B).
The easiest way to brush in Photoshop is to create a new work area.
You can then fill in areas of the image with the Brush Tool, and move the cursor around.
The Brush Tool is useful for painting and drawing.
Photoshop comes with a host of specific brushes. You can use them to create paintings and effects, and also to add text or shapes.

Brushes can be divided into several groups:

Pencil: The ideal Photoshop tool for creating works of art or drafting. These are the most versatile of all of the Photoshop brushes.
Oil pencil: Oil pencils paint or draw using oil. These are the most expensive and rare of the Photoshop pencils.
Sketch: This brush type is used for drawing. The brush looks like a fountain pen with a flat tip.
Sci-Fi: This brush is used for creating pixel art (not real pixel art, but the Photoshop equivalent.) It’s for when you need a brush that resembles the pixel art styles of old.
Lines: Using different types of lines, you can create a range of effects.
Airbrush: This brush has a soft tip, and is ideal for creating art, graffiti, or any other type of project that requires a lot of fine detail.
Highlighter: It is a basic brush, but one that is useful for highlighting textures and patterns.

In the southern Philippine region of Mindanao, at least eight people were killed and six were wounded when militants from the New People’s Army (NPA) raked the town of Baganga in Albay province with automatic fire on Tuesday.

Two of the wounded succumbed to their wounds while the other four are recovering, the Philippine Army said in a statement on Wednesday, adding that a joint security force had been deployed to secure the area.

The military could not yet confirm if the attacks were linked to the New People’s Army, also known as the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), and the Moro National Liberation Front, or MNLF.

However, a spokesman for the group told AFP that Mindanao militants were targeting the town on Wednesday after the discovery of a weapons cache in Guihulngan, a town nearby, on Tuesday.

Last week, the NPA also launched a joint offensive against military and police forces in southern Philippines following the arrest of five of its members in connection with the killing of young student Marlo Estaño.

According to the AFP, the Philippine military has been battling a wave of attacks by NPA-led NDFs in Mindanao for the past year.

Violence has broken out several times in Mindanao over the last two years with the Philippine military launching airstrikes on suspected militant hideouts while the group, which has been holding peace talks with the government, has conducted attacks on military installations and checkpoints.

The Mindanao violence has been in part linked to the emergence of Moro-dominated groups within the NPA which work in alliance with the MNLF, AFP said.

The military was able to capture and kill several prominent militants, including the leader of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) alliance in a series of raids in 2017.

In December 2017, the NPA launched a major attack in the Zamboanga Peninsula, southern Philippines, which led to at least 60 deaths in just two days.

It was the first major violence between the NPA and the military in over a year and was also the deadliest of 2017, with an estimated 300 people killed.

At least five of the militants linked to the Zamboanga siege surrendered to the military in February but have yet to face trial or face imprisonment.
