New User Interface Enhancements

With AutoCAD, we are always trying to make it easier for users to interact with the software.

New Commands for users to make changes to existing drawings

This year, we added new commands to AutoCAD. These new commands were added to the drawing window on the fly.

We continue to work on the new command bar in the New Menu, AutoCAD menu, in the ribbon. We’ve created a new tab in the Ribbon which we call the Command Bar. This tab makes available a new set of commands which allow you to interact with AutoCAD objects in your drawing by selecting, copying, cutting, pasting and moving them. In this video, I’ll show you how to access these new commands.

When you select an object, AutoCAD will bring up a list of commonly-used commands. We’ve enhanced the look of this list and made it more user-friendly. We’ve removed the step numbers so you can see the command in context.

When you use one of these commands, the command is added to the Command Bar. You can either use the Command Bar to change the way that command works or you can use the “Make Change” command on the existing command.
