There are many resources available that teach Photoshop to those who want to learn; just find one that is right for you. Or if you are already familiar with Photoshop and want to sharpen your skills, these lessons are a great way to do so.

As with most other digital programs, Photoshop supports many file formats. If your image is JPEG, TIFF, or RAW, then you can open it in Photoshop and it will apply the correct settings. You will also be able to use other file types such as BMP, GIF, and others, but they will not retain the original information or editability.

Now, let’s jump in and start getting images done. If you are a beginner or if you just need to refresh your memory of how to do things, you may need to start somewhere small and move forward from there.

# Using File Selections

There are several ways to open an image file in Photoshop. The simplest way is to go directly to a file in your hard drive. You can also create a new file and change its name with a drag and drop. The best method for opening or creating a new file is to go into the Browse window, and choose a location or folder on your hard drive to put the file into. This is called _file selection_.

The File selection screen is shown in Figure 4-1. To open a file, click the Use File button and navigate to the file that you want to open. Click the Open button to open the file in Photoshop.

If you are familiar with another computer, you may be curious as to how a computer that runs Windows can use a Mac file system. Mac files are different than PC files, so to open a Mac file you use the same file selection system, but the location is different.

Figure 4-2 shows the File selection screen with a Mac file selected. To open a Mac file, navigate to the file location on your hard drive (Macintosh HD in the example), and click the file to open it in Photoshop.

In this tutorial, I will take you through how to open an image in Photoshop and make some quick edits.

How to Open an Image in Photoshop

This is the first step of the editing process in Photoshop. Photoshop can be used to perform basic edits on digital photos, such as retouching, cropping and resizing photos.

You can open most images in Photoshop by following the following steps.

Click File > Open > Choose file (or open the image file on your computer) Click Open.

You can also search for the image file on your computer first.

If you just want to open an image online, you can use an online photo editor, such as ImgFeed (currently only available in the United States and Canada), Pixiv (available in several countries), or Picasa (only available in the United States).

If you prefer using an offline app, you can install a photo editor directly on your computer. Most photo editors are free.

Once you have downloaded the image, you can click the photo in the list to open it in the app.

You can also just click the photo on your computer without having to download it first.

If you do not see your image (the file name may be too long), check the drop-down menu. You may need to scroll through the menu.

How to Edit Images in Photoshop

There are basic edits that can be made with the software. These are Photoshop and graphic designer’s go-to software for basic edits.

Basic edits, such as cropping images, resizing images, and changing their color

Cropping images: You can crop the canvas of a photo to remove unwanted background areas. Using the Crop tool, you can crop the image and easily remove certain parts of the photo from the canvas (for more information see the tutorial on how to crop photos).

Changing the color of an image: If you want to change the color of an image, select the image layer in the Layers panel.

You can change the color using the Eyedropper tool. Click on the color on the side panel, select a color and click the Eyedropper tool (it looks like an eye inside a square). This tool will help you get the color you want to use.

Resizing images: You can increase or decrease the size of your image by changing the width and height settings of the canvas. To

The present invention relates to a blank holding mechanism for holding a sheet of blank made of such as paper or a plastic film to a wiper blade during use thereof, and particularly relates to a mechanism used in a printing-material storing machine for supplying the sheet of blank to a printing mechanism.
2. Description of the Related Art
As a conventional sheet-of-blank holding mechanism used in a printing-material storing machine, there has been known the one, as shown in FIG. 10, in which one end of a sheet of blank made of a plastic film is inserted and held on a member mounted on a wiper shaft, and the other end thereof is supported by a blade member which can move in a direction in parallel with the longitudinal direction of the sheet of blank supported thereon and which has a contact portion on the front side to abut on the sheet of blank so as to hold the sheet of blank.
A conventional sheet-of-blank holding mechanism is disadvantageous in that the sheet of blank tends to be loosened during the blanking operation with the contact portion of the blade member so as to hold the sheet of blank being slid in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the sheet of blank and removed from the holding position, and further is disadvantageous in that a brake for returning the blade member to the holding position is usually arranged outside of the printing-material storing machine, requiring a space for the return direction.
In view of the problems in the prior art, an object of the present invention is to provide a blank-holding mechanism for holding a sheet of blank with a sufficient holding force and which can retain the sheet of blank without being easily removed from the holding position, and further to provide a printing-material storing machine incorporating the blank-holding mechanism.
According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a blank-holding mechanism comprising: a supply roller pair for supplying a sheet of blank made of a material capable of being formed into a predetermined shape, a support member for holding the supply roller pair, a blade member provided so as to move in a direction in parallel with a predetermined direction of the sheet of blank supported thereon, and a brake mechanism for returning the blade member to a holding position thereof; wherein the brake mechanism is mounted on a main body of the printing-material storing machine.
