WirelessNetView is a reliable application designed to keep an eye on the surrounding wireless networks, logging important information such as signal strength.
WirelessNetView features a simple and user-friendly interface that displays all the detected wireless hotpoints. For each network, WirelessNetView displays a bunch of useful details such as last signal quality, average signal quality, authentication algorithm, SSID, detection counter, cipher algorithm, MAC address, company name, RSSI, channel frequency and number.
Once you run the application, it’s enough to minimize it to tray and let it do its job. WirelessNetView automatically scans the perimeter and if new networks are found, they’re also added to the already created list.
There are numerous options available, including a dedicated tool that beeps every time a new network is found, a feature to mark the best secured and unsecured network to connect to, as well as possibilities to add header line to CSV/Tab delimited file and torestart Windows wireless service.
In addition, you can decide the update rate (low, medium, high and very high), but also the network security filter, which means WirelessNetView must show only secured or unsecured networks.
There’s no help file included in the package, so you may need to search the web if the aforementioned terms sound like rocket science to you.
Overall, WirelessNetView is quite a handy application and because it works so smooth on all Windows versions, it’s really worth a try.
Installation:

The installation steps are nearly the same as installing any other application, just make sure to remove the installer from the previous version before the installation of the new one.
After the installation, simply launch the application, connect to your wireless router and the data will be all ready in your personal wireless network scanner’s database.

iLock is a simple and reliable application, which can be used to store passwords and other confidential data on your system.
You can set the home page of iLock, the web sites where the stored passwords will be displayed, set the maximum number of passwords to be stored, choose the type of passwords to be saved and even set the number of days the password will remain stored.
All of this will be displayed in the main window of iLock. Password list displaying iLock web sites will be added to Internet Explorer favorites.
iLock creates two files inside the folder you select for storing passwords:
o Password.txt. These files contain all the passwords associated with the selected folders.
o Unused.txt. These files contain the storage data used by iLock for the files selected by you.
Every password entered in iLock will be automatically stored and at the specified time it will be cleared from storage. However, if you want to keep the password stored, use the Empty cache button to simply clear the password stored files.
Password and data are saved in Unicode format.
iLock also allows you to choose the maximum number of files you want to store and the days in which the files will be saved.
And of course, what password library would be complete without an autoremove command, so you can delete expired passwords?
All the above can be done from iLock main menu.
And if you can’t decide what storage folders to use for passwords, you can choose the “Use all storage folders” option on iLock main menu.
When you select a folder on the main window, iLock will display each password entry. You can sort them by alphabetical order or by the order in which they were entered.
